Chief Executive Officer, Bill Muirhead, performs his long-term planning and management responsibilities through the eyes of an experienced theme park operator and general manager. Following several years of on-hand experience in the U.S. and Asia, Muirhead was named Executive Vice President of Six Flags in 2001 and given executive responsibility for its entire European operation. Following his co-founding of StarParks in 2004, Muirhead increased financial accountability, empowered local management, and targeted CAPEX and marketing expenditure within the parks to create financially-sound, professionally-run operations. Investors were rewarded with a 2.4 times return on investment when six of the parks were sold in 2006.

Executive Vice President for Marketing & Strategy, Cees Kikstra, focuses his efforts on leveraging the unique combination of intellectual property, heritage, and physical assets of each StarParks venue, while evaluating other attractive properties against StarParks’ strict criteria for potential acquisition. His work is backed by nearly twenty-five years of extensive marketing and strategic planning experience for market leaders, such as the Efteling, Disneyland Paris, and Center Parcs.

Chief Financial Officer, Wouter Dekkers, brings more than seventeen years of solid financial and organizational development experience to StarParks. From the management of auditing and financial teams to budgeting, planning, and project administration, Dekkers has continually worked to improve reporting procedures, integrate and motivate diverse staff, and provide the information that management teams need for major planning decisions. Besides coordinating the finance groups of the original StarParks’ properties, Dekkers initiated a complete training and motivation program for all staff and helped manage the transition to a per cap business model. Dekkers serves simultaneously as Chief Financial Officer of StarParks and MoviePark Germany.
